Makeup Monday: Linda

Pr-samples & *Adlinks in the post

It’s been a while since my latest makeup transformation post. As I promised, I will do these types of posts every once in a while. Today’s post features one of my dearest friends, Linda. It was actually her birthday on the day we collaborated, so I made sure to glam her up really well!

Makeup Monday: Linda

Linda’s personality comes through these photos. She’s fun, lively and a very trustworthy friend. We’ve actually known each other since kindergarten. Nowadays we rarely play with barbies, but I’d say one of the perks of being a grown up is that instead you can chill with your pajamas on and drink wine together. We literally have this tradition of hanging out in our pajamas (but only on Christmas).

I love doing Linda’s makeup. She has big round eyes, which are perfect for any type of look. She also has beautiful ivory skin, which really benefits from warm bronze colors.

Makeup for atopic skin

Linda has atopic skin, which tends to be dry. I chose products that suit dry skin and are more on the creamy side. Moisturizing primers, BB and CC creams instead of foundations are a safe choice. Mineral makeup is another good choice – I highly recommend Lily Lolo.  I didn’t use powder and if your skin is dry you can totally skip that.

I prepped Linda’s skin with a hydrating primer, that I love to use in Winter. *Too Faced’s Hangover primer is silicone-free, which makes it a perfect base for any foundation. As a foundation I used *Erborian BB-cream, which I’ve been using quite a lot lately. It offers medium coverage and since it’s a cream, it’s more forgiving to any dry spots. I could have also used *Madara City CC which Linda owns herself as well. It’s even more creamier and with a lighter coverage.

I also used a cream blush and a liquid highlighter. With these I created a glowy skin.

If your looking for skincare products, I have recommendations for dry skin in this post.

For Linda’s eyes I used *Morphe 3205 palette. I’ve talked about that palette before and I still love it. It has great colors and the pigment is really good. Bare in mind the palette is huge. As for the glitter lids, I used Smashit glitter palette and the best glitter glue from NYX. The glitter stayed on the whole day (I know, because we had a dinner date later that evening!) and looked beautiful.

For her lips I used *Elizabeth Arden’s Honeysuckle lipstick, which is a very unique nude brown with shimmer. I topped it off with a gloss.

All in all I love this look and I’m very happy with how it turned out. What do you think?
