First snow

“It’s snowing!”, is what I yelled yesterday while jumping out of my chair like a little girl. It’s funny and amazing how some things never get old.

The snow has already melted, but I’m not worried: that means I get to have that feeling again. I think I will be counting the snowy days until January, when I finally decide I’m done with winter. Luckily we’re not there yet.

Besides snow, I’m excited for November. If you know me at all, you know November is when Christmas starts for me. It’s not only because I love Christmas, but it’s also because it’s the darkest month of the year. Perfect time to lit up some lights. Actually, those are a necessity.

Snow also means colder weather and I’m already geared up for that. But in all honesty: the first cold days do shock me. Every time. But you quickly get used to that and it almost (almost!) starts to feel cozy. Having to wear your big warm jackets and big warm boots. Taking your beanies out and and wrapping yourself in woolly scarfs.

Yesterday I got to enjoy first snow also in front (and behind) of the camera. I had another photoshoot with Susanna and we took some cool shots.

My outfit was pretty simple, as usual. The focus was in my makeup and hair – and in my new shoes. Last Summer I bought these classic black Timberlands. Needless to say, I love them. I like the contrast between full face of makeup, feminine soft jacket and big boots.

What do you think?

Let’s hope the snow comes back soon. Right now it’s raining and it’s pretty dark. But I won’t let that depress me. We’re living my favorite time of the year, after all!
