The best product for puffy eyes

Clarins Eye Care Review

how to get rid of puffy eyes

Did you know that the first signs of aging show around your eyes?

Well, I did, and it’s one of the things I always tell people about. First of all, you need an eye cream. Second, you need to read this post I wrote about skincare for eyes (it’s not a very long post, since taking care of your eyes is pretty simple).

I have noticed aging around my eyes. I don’t have any wrinkles yet, but there’s one thing I’ve noticed that is pretty unfair. And the thing is, when I wake up, my eyes don’t. Gone are the days when I just rose in the morning, splashed some cold water on my face and instantly looked fresh and awake. Long gone. Now my eyes are puffy, tired and in need of a holiday. They no longer recover from the lovely time I get to spend under the sheets by doing nothing.

The best product for puffy eyes

I have found something, that works for my tired eyes and actually helps the puffiness – a lot! A product, that is my eye cream, but also my lifesaver. And that is *Clarins’ Multi-Active Eye cream. It’s an eye cream-gel that has a metallic applicator tip, that you can use to massage the cream in. It’s also brightening with illuminating pigments in it. The eye cream reflects light and makes your eyes appear brighter, even if you weren’t wearing makeup. It’s a masterpiece, so to speak.

The best thing about it is obviously the metallic applicator, which I use to massage the puffiness out of my eyes. I also like how creamy and moisturizing this eye cream is.

Here is how I use this product. I do some of the moves or a quick version of it almost every single day.

Eye massage for tired or puffy eyes

  1. Apply tiny dots of the eye cream around the eyes and blend with long swipes.
  2. Gently press on the point shown in the photo, keep it still for a few seconds and relax. This seems to ease headaches, at least with me.
  3. Gently press and pump on the points shown in the photo. This is called ‘lymph massage’ and it helps the natural circulation and movement of toxins and fluids through the lymph ducts. Basically it helps bloating and puffiness.
  4.  Gently stroke the eye area in the directions shown in the photo.
  5. Do small circles around the eye as shown in the photo.
  6. Finish the massage with long swipes around the eyes.

Do each of these steps 2-4 times.

I can guarantee you’ll see some results by doing this massage! Let me know if you end up trying it – or if an eye massage already belongs to your routine?

In these photos I’m not wearing any makeup, except *Clarins’ lip oil (which I love!) and as what goes to my tan, I wrote about the products here.

Yes, I love this cream too and this range. I’m not the best with eye creams, really started to use one a year ago or two more systematically! But you’re so right, that’s where aging shows first x

I only started applying eye cream after I hit 30 and saw the first line around my eyes, let me tell you, I was panicking!! I couldn’t believe that lines appeared soon to be wrinkles. But now I use many products and I don’t massage the eye area as much as I would like to but massage definitely makes a difference!

Yeah I get that a lot! People often forget about the little area. 🙂 But taking care of it really makes a difference <3

No, I dont do a massage (yet), but I use an eyecream religiously and have done so for many years. I started at around 20. Of course, now that I am 38 ageing shows around my eyes, but I believe that it could be much worse. Or at least that is what I tell myself to justify the spending on skincare…

Haha, I think using an eye cream really does make a difference! So spending justified. 😉
